Let's just say that I'm not happy.
Contrary to the promise in the description on EBAY, the pipes were mailed in a small case with a piece of bubble wrap tossed in. As a result of this poor packing, the chanter sole was broken in two.
The only ORIGINAL imitation ivory was the chanter sole and the drone bushes. All other imitation (i.e., the "button mounts") were NOT ORIGINAL to the pipes. They were made of some sort of a synthetic clay and obviously laid up by hand at someone's hobby table. It has never even seen a lathe. The finish is coarse and uneven. It is asymmetric on the drones.
The blowstick is missing.
The finish is awful.
I'm still trying to resolve these issues with the seller. He was very communicative prior to the sale, but it's been six weeks of silence (10/15/04).
